[펌 - 해설]

한대수가 광포한 목소리로 이렇게 시대의 갈증을 서술했을 때,
이 노래와 그 주인은 곧 막다른 골목에 감금되어야 했다.
경남고를 다니다 미국으로 이민간 한대수가 69년말 귀국하여 가진 공연은
이 땅에 새로운 노래 씨앗을 파종하는 전환적 시발점이 되었다.
그의 슬로건은 한마디로 자유였다. 
그러나 그의 노래 중 열 여섯 마디의, 단순하고 압도적인 락 템포에 실은
이 [물 좀 주소]만큼 70년대 내면적 억압의 표층을 뚫고 나오는 젊음의
자연발생적 폭발을 경험할 수 있는 것은 없다.
첫 4마디가 방황할 권리를 지닌 젊음의 도전이라면, 하강하는 마지막 4마디는
[한국적 민주주의의 토착화]를 내세운 유신독재에 휘말린 이상의 좌절이라고
할 것이다. 그러나 유신 당국은 감수성의 시한폭탄 같은 존재를 비열한 방식으로
대중과 격리시켜 놓았다. 74년과 75년에 나온 그의 두 앨범은 발매되자마자
모조리 수거됐고, 테이프 원본까지 압수하여 파기함으로써 자유의 부활을
원천 봉쇄하였다. 입에 재갈이 물린 상황에서 한대수의 유일한 선택은
다시 이 땅을 떠나는 것 밖에 없었다.
